The cottage is set in a small terrace of four former farm cottages in exceptionally beautiful and peaceful countryside. On a clear night the lack of light pollution makes it the perfect spot for star-gazing. The hamlet has a traditional country pub (about 5 minutes; walk by footpath from the cottage) and is a haven for walkers with a network of footpaths covering the surrounding countryside. Within easy reach of the Jurassic Coast, it lies 6 miles from the beach at West Bay, where boating and fishing are available, or for those loving market towns then head to Bridport which holds a street market every Saturday & Wednesday, and has many independent shops. An array of local produce can be bought locally and the village pub is just a short stroll up the lane. Within easy reach is the dramatic World Heritage Jurassic coastline, including Lyme Regis and its famous Cobb (14 miles). The Market town of Beaminster is a short drive, or for those who love a good morning's walk, you can cut through the many public footpaths to Beaminster where you will find plenty of refreshments or a spot of lunch. Bridport, Charmouth and Lyme Regis are within an easy drive or for those exploring further on a day trip then Abbotsbury, Chesil Beach, Portland are lovely locations. Local Shop 3 miles in Beaminster, with lots of independent shops, Butchers, Bakery, Cafe's, local Hardware shop. Nearest town is Bridport which has several supermarkets, shops and an outside market twice a week.
